Shriyukta Aryal

Avery warm and wonderful greeting to everyone present here.

Good afternoon chairperson and secretary general Mr. Sarin Kandel, chief guest Madam Sheetal Rana, special guest Mr. Ram Basnet, Administrative Incharge Mr.Niraj Bikram Rana, Principal Mr. Prashant Rajak, MUN coordinator Mr.Govinda Gautam, Instructional Supervisors, Incharges, teachers Dais members, It team , press team and all the delegates .

I am really very grateful , happy and honored to have this amazing opportunity to share something with you all speaking here today as the chair of legislative parliament 3 , Shriyukta Aryal.

Delegates, my dear delegates. I could see you all flying in the sky with your beautiful wings that were and are widely expanded with opportunities and experiences. The only thing that you had to do was level up your horizon.

I think this MUN has successfully helped you in doing so. Not only the delegates , I think this MUN has helped all of us to realize our actual potentials and weaknesses.

Not only to delegates but to everyone present here . Fill your life with experiences not things , have stories to tell. Because in the end , when we grow older with time , all that we will have left, is our experiences and memories that we made.

In the end , we all know . It all comes down to only one point. Experience.

So, let me share my very honest experience with you all here today.

Talking about my experience , it is a little different than what I have been hearing and what you have been hearing.

Looking back on the first day of my first ever MUN that I took part in ,which was TES MUN itself three years back. I can clearly remember and visualize my face that day. It might be a little surprising but unlike others who were scared and nervous , I was pretty confident. Let’s say over confident. I don’t know how but the happy grin that I had when entering the committee , on the first day , changed to a crying face when I left the committee that day.

The main reason could be me , getting over excited over the fact that the regular classes weren't happening and the position of desks and benches that were being changed and the decorations of the school rather than the committee. Well , it did not go as I expected.

The first practise session went in a blink of an eye , with me just staring at the benches and my research files.

The second practise session was however different. I was not over confident , I was calm and I was determined.

I can clearly remember the first time when I stood up to speak , the nervousness in my mind , the sweat running through my spine and the frozen mouth that hardly moved. I was no different than a statue for that particular moment.

But then I spoke and when I was done, I could hear the huge round of applause or you could say the hands striking on desks embracing me for the things I said and what it meant to those ears that heard them. It still gives me chills and I could never forget that.

It was all that it took . A simple choice that I made that day.

Raising My hand to speak.

I smashed it , although I didn’t get the best delegate that year, I got a special mention. However , deep inside I felt worthy of calling myself as a better version of myself and had that confidence to keep moving forward.

I kept on improving , growing and building myself . I participated in RBS MUN too. It was all worth it , the simple choice that I made in my first MUN helped me explore more.

Delegates, all the dias members , It team , Press team and everyone who helped in making this MUN successful, you made a choice too . To come forward and speak up. We are proud of you.

In order to see the successful and intellectual debate on the national issue , collaboration between the delegates and insightful solutions to national peace together with 33 delegates , the lp 3 committee successfully developed a comprehensive plan that we all are proud of. We are, where we are, all because of you all.

We also made some amazing memories together . I would like to address some of it here today.

I can clearly remember the time when I was freaking out before the first practise session. But, the delegates who messaged me at 11 pm asking for some motivation and the dias members who stayed up with me all night were my greatest motivation to move forward when I lost all hope.Thank you moderator Manaslu Mahat and Vice chair Swornim Karki and all the delegates. We supported each other and moved forward together .

The time when the delegate of Bishnu Prashad Poudel brought soul in the committee when the committee was falling apart with his excellent logics and boldness , the time when Pushpa Kamal Dahal made us all laugh with her witty comebacks , the time when we could visualize Baburam Bhattarai as the real one, the time when Krishna Gopal Shrestha hung in there and exploded in the tough crisis, sudden and surprising performances of Bimal Prasad Shrivastab , Bijay kumar Gachhadar and Mahanta thakur . The active participation and enthusiasm of all the 33 delegates present in the committee. Thanks to all for making it a huge success.

We all did it !

We made it !

Now it’s the time for the award declaration.

Let's appreciate the title holders , but don’t get disappointed because you couldn’t get one this time. There is always a next time where you can improve more and give it your best shot.
