Interviewer: Good morning moderator of LP2, We from the Press team are here to take a short
interview with you. Let’s start now, shall we?
Moderator: Yes!
Interviewer: First of all, can you please share with us a bit about your MUN experience
Moderator: MUN experience has been quite stressful, to be honest, and looking after each and
every delegate's performance we need to deal with everyone and it's not the same. I can
actually feel the pain of teachers right now, that's the main thing I got to experience.
Interviewer: Are you having a good interaction with all the delegates in your committee? Have
they met your expectations?
Moderator: All the delegates are not the same like there are some delegates who like did
amazing work and they interact with all of us but there are some delegates who are not even
showing up in the committees which makes me so sad and I feel like there is something with us
also so we have not been able to interact with all of the delegates and that's that.
Interviewer: What encouraged you to run for the dais of your committee?
Moderator: When I was in grade 7, I used to see all the dAIS members running here and there
and I thought it was really very fun, and then in grade 8, being a delegate I could see the dAIS
working so hard. Actually, I felt like they were doing something very interesting, and at grade
when I went to RBS MUN also, it was quite interesting so I thought I can also do that and after I
became the dais I was happy first, but it's quite stressful but I can feel the happiness inside.
Interviewer: Are there any difficulties you have been facing while running the committees due
to the virtual platform?
Moderator: yes! When the chair is running the committee I need to focus on what he is saying
And when he is telling something personal from his heart It's difficult for me to continue when he
suddenly gets disconnected like he is telling something on his own and it's hard for me to
continue what he's saying then after some time he gets connected in the committee and
everything gets so confusing
Interviewer: So, You have become a delegate before in past years, in your opinion what makes
the best delegate?
Moderator: I think best delegate means the research should be best. They need to be
interactive with the dais members, They should be very active in the committee You know.
Sometimes we ask them some questions and they disappear or their answers are not proper so
They should be answerable and reasonable, they should be very active because the committee
won’t run and it won't be interesting. It is really hard to be the best delegate because like their
research the answers everything should be proper.
Interviewer: You were also a delegate before, first being a delegate and now leading a
committee as a dias panel, how is your experience till now?
Moderator: I was a delegate before in grade 8 and I used to think that it's very hard and a
burden then it's like there is so much pressure in me, and I felt like Mun is a big thing that I
have to face and I even felt like I don't wanna do this anymore but at grade nine I actually learnt
the meaning of MUN being a delegate first I was like this mun is gonna be hard for me but it
became very interesting I actually wanna be a delegate again but I don't think I am gonna have
a chance again
Interviewer: Suppose a delegate hasn’t spoken in any sessions of your committee. As a dais
member, what is your role and how would you help them?
Moderator: first of all we actually make sure that every single delegate are speaking in the
committee, those who are in the committee obviously speak when it’s our question or they
speaking by themselves but there are some delegates like I told before who really don’t come
to the committee they are just like we don't even know where they are and it makes us really
sad and stressed when we try to contact them and they ignore us and we can't provide them
marks without speaking so that's hard for us and for those delegates who are having a hard time
on speaking we give them some time to research and we feel very happy when they speak
Interviewer: Is there anything you want to change about TESMUN 2078? If so, what is it?
Moderator: I don't think TES Mun needs anything to be changed but I would be really satisfied
if every delegate would come and be active, I would be very happy if the internet connection
was stable. I would love to see a moment when there would be a lot of delegates who are
speaking and we would be very confused on whom to give a chance. I would really love to see
that because inactive delegates really make the committee boring
Interviewer: Do you think this experience will help you in your life ahead?
Moderator: Definitely! There are so many people who are suffering from depression and you
know anxiety and just introverts. There are just people who love to be alone and if the
opportunity is given to them, they will definitely speak and share their views without any
hesitation and be more social. We can just take an example of our political parties you know
they say us a lot of things which they really never fulfill it and I want the same thing with the
delegates. You know they just need to speak up and tell them things they want from their heart,
yeah that's it.
Interviewer: Do you think you will be running for dais again if you have a chance in the future?
Moderator: Yes I would but I would love to take part in Mun as a delegate because being a dais
in actually quite a hard job but if I get a chance, Yes I would definitely try my best
Interviewer: That's nice! Lastly, any advice to the delegates?
Moderator: yes! Delegates, please everyone need to research and research everything upto
deep down not only the surface of it and focus on something which is incredible that way you
can speak up properly
Interviewer: Thank You so much for giving us your precious time and sharing things with us I/
we hope you have a great day!
Moderator: Thank you!
