Interviewer : Good morning chaksu, we are here from TES PRESS TEAM.
Let’s begin with the questions now, shall we ?
Delegate : Good morning! Thankyou for having me let's start now
Interviewer : First of all, This is your first time in tes mun right ? How has it been ? Can you share
with us your experience ?
Delegate: Yes, it's my first time being a delegate in MUN. Actually I have been a part of the
press team in grade 7 and before I didn't know a lot about the procedures, what was being
discussed in the committee , the terms that the delegates needed to use and many more. Last
year, due to the pandemic, it was not possible to conduct a program like this. And now this year,
I feel like MUN has come as a blessing for me. This is such a productive program that our
school organizes every year. I feel glad to be a part of MUN and especially as a delegate from
the HRC committee because I had been a reporter for the same committee 2 years back.
Interviewer : How did you build up your confidence to speak in this MUN ? Did the dias members
help you?
Delegate :Building confidence during this program was really easy and all thanks goes to our
dais members for helping us out for this. I was really nervous as I didn’t have much idea about
MUN.but our dais members explained each and everything in detail which helped us so much.
As we are now aware about all the procedures of MUN, this has automatically helped in
boosting our confidence level.
Interviewer : If you were to attend a physical MUN, do you think it will be any different from the
virtual one?
Delegate : yes, the physical MUN would be very different from the virtual one. The arrangement
in the committee, the posters, the banners, the environment in the school would be there
And there would be no technical issues when the committee is running.because during the
unmoderated caucus, we are facing a lot of disturbances and troubles. I think in school, it would
have been easier than it is now.
Interviewer : Do you think you are being benefited by TESMUN?
Delegate: Yes of course. As I already mentioned earlier, MUN has come as a blessing for me! I
feel so grateful to be a part of this. This has improved our confidence, boosted up leadership
skills, public speaking skills and skills of teamwork. It’s not just a formal program that is being
held. This is a learning platform that the school has provided us. It is a new way of learning,
getting knowledge and ideas.
Interviewer : Are there any problems you have been facing due to the virtual platform? If so, what
are they?
Delegate : Organizing the MUN program was surely not easy for the school and so was for us.
It was a completely new thing for us and on top of that when it’s held virtually, we are facing
many different technical problems in the middle. Besides that, I am not facing any other
difficulties.
Interviewer : Why do you think it is necessary to be a part of MUN ?
Delegate : Everyone is not superior in everything. Everyone has got their specialties and their
own capabilities. During the teaching and learning process in the school, it is necessary for the
school to organize programs like this as some students may have good qualities in public
speaking and mass communication. So, unleashing their potential is necessary and I am
thankful towards our school for giving us such an opportunity.
Interviewer : What are the topics being discussed in your committee? Are you enjoying it ?
Delegate : As I am from the Human Rights Council committee, all we discuss is about human
rights and its violation. In the first session we discussed the LGBTQ rights and their rights
violations. In the second session, we spoke about the women rights violation and the ways to
solve the violations. And now in the final session, we are discussing the topic of racism, its
causes, and ways to terminate them. I am enjoying the committee and specially I enjoy the
moderated caucus. We are debating as well as getting to know many different things at the
same time.
Interviewer : Do you think you will be participating in MUN as a delegate in the future?
Delegates : Now, I know about MUN well, its procedures and everything. I am confident enough
and I think I will be participating in MUN’s in the future if I get an opportunity.
Interviewer : Are you having a hard time speaking in front of everyone while representing other
countries?
Delegate : To be honest, in the very first practice session, I wasn’t so confident to speak. But as I
came to know more about the procedures, I have started participating more in the committee.
Right now, I am not having any difficulty as I am familiar with everyone in my committee too.
And I especially enjoy the moderated caucus in our committee.
Interviewer : Lastly, do you have any feedback for TES MUN ?
Delegate : I would like to thank my school for providing such an opportunity for all the students.
This is a great platform where I got to speak as well as learn at the same time. I would like to
give a huge thank you to the dias panel because without their support, I wouldn’t have got to
learn so much about MUN. I would like to express gratitude towards all of them for their hard
work and their unconditional support. And lastly, I would like to thank the MUN interview team
for selecting me as an interviewee. I also hope that the MUN, from next year, will be held in the
school physically.
Interviewer : thank you so much for giving us your precious time and sharing us everything, we
hope you have a great day!
Delegate : Thank you !
