The final session of LP3 started on September 12, Sunday through zoom. The session started after the dias panel greeted and cheered the delegates. The delegate of Bhim Rawal ( Liza Sthapit) then raised a motion to start the formal session. The session then moved on after the dias panel took the roll call. After the roll call was taken, the delegate of Raghubir Mahaseth (Ayush Moktan) raised a motion to set the agenda on ‘Emergency Crisis for Global Pandemic’.
“The work done by the government during this crisis is quite admirable as we have vaccinated different age group populations in many phases. The vaccination is quite effective.” said by the delegate of KP Sharma Oli (Bianamra Paudel) while speaking about Covid situation in the country .The delegate of Lekh Raj Bhattrai (Unish Shrestha) raised a motion to start the GSL for the total time limit of 10 mins where each speaker gets 2 mins. The first GSL is delivered by the delegate of Lekh Raj Bhattrai (Unish Shrestha). The delegate starts their GSL by talking about the situation caused by Covid-19. The second GSL was then delivered by the delegate of Padma Kumari Aryal(Alisha Shrestha), the delegate addresses that the recent pandemic has affected the country in many ways.
Then, the delegates of Madhav Kumar Nepal (Jems Shrestha), and Prakash Man Singh (Suhan Shakya) also gave their GSLs respectively, followed by the delegate of Bijay Kumar Gachhadar (Om Shrestha) who also gave a GSL and then said, “Even though the government has planned a huge budget for Covid-19, the budget has not been administered rigidly.” After the delegates were finished giving their GSLs, the delegate of Bhim Rawa (Liza Sthapit) then raised a motion to start a moderated caucus on the topic of the effectiveness of lockdown for the total time limit of 20 mins where each speaker gets 2 minutes. The delegates then gave their moderated caucus and after the delegates finished giving their moderated caucuses, the GSL was resumed as the delegate of Bimal Prashad Shriatsab (Jessica Kumal) raised a motion to resume the GSL for the total time limit of 10 mins. The delegates then gave their GSL, followed by the delegates of Krishna Gopal Shrestha (Anusriti Aryal) and Sujata Koirala (Prajita Pradhan).
After the delegate Sujata Koirala (Prajita Pradhan) gave her GSL, the time limit for the first half of the session elapsed. The delegate of Khagraj Adhikari (Tsering Buti Gurung) then raised a motion to adjourn the committee. The dias panel then ended the session by recommending the delegates to be more active in the second half.
